NOT BIRD BRAINED

For The Sun - 6 May 2011

A JACKDAW that struck up a friendship with a schoolboy cannot be returned to the wild as it now thinks it's HUMAN.
The Sun told in March how Emmanuel Adams, ten, cared for "Jack" after it landed on him as he headed to school.
He was devastated when the RSPCA said the bird could not stay at his home.
But a police wildlife officer has ruled Jack, who mimics the youngster's sneezes and coughs, has imprinted human behaviour. Emmanuel, of Sunderland, said: "Now he's a member of the family."
